Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the CourtLegacy app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Darshan Patel (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information You Provide
To create and use an account, the Application collects:
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile phone number, and a password (stored by Firebase Authentication, never by the Service Provider in readable form). If you sign in with Google, your Google name, email address and profile photo.
- Profile details you choose to add: profile photo, city, date of birth, sports, playing level and playing style.
- Sports activity: matches you score or play in (players, scores, point-by-point records and statistics such as aces and errors), teams, tournaments and tournament registrations.
The Application does not access your device's GPS or location services. Your city is only what you type into your profile.
Information Collected Automatically
- Crash reports: if the Application crashes, Firebase Crashlytics records technical details such as device model, operating system version, app version and the error, so it can be fixed.
- Push notification token: an identifier for your device used to deliver notifications (see below).
The Application does not use advertising identifiers and does not show advertising.
AI Coaching Analysis
When you ask the Application for AI coaching analysis of a match or of your career, the Service Provider's server sends that match's or career's statistics, together with the player names they contain, to Google's Gemini API to generate the analysis. This only happens when you request an analysis. The data is used to produce the analysis shown to you and is handled under Google's terms for the Gemini API (ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms).
Push Notifications
The Application uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications about matches you are in, results waiting for your confirmation, and tournament updates. To deliver them, the Application stores your device's push notification token with your account. The token is removed when you sign out or delete your account. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to provide the Application: signing you in, recording and displaying matches and statistics, running tournaments, sending notifications, generating AI analysis you request, and fixing crashes. The Service Provider may use your email address to send you important notices about the service. Your data is not sold.
Who Can See Your Information
- Other users: your name, profile photo, player code, match results, statistics and tournament records are visible to other users of the Application as part of the community experience. Live scores of a match being broadcast are visible to anyone with the match link.
- Tournament organizers: when you register for a tournament, its organizer can see your name, contact details and registration information in order to run the event.
- Other players can find you by your phone number or player code in order to add you to a match.
Service Providers
The Application is built on services provided by Google, which process data on the Service Provider's behalf under their own privacy terms:
- Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics)
- Google Sign-In
- Google Gemini API (AI coaching analysis, only when you request it)
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
- with their trusted service providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Your Rights and Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can view your profile, match data, and tournament history within the Application at any time.
- Correction: You can update or correct your account information through the Application settings.
- Deletion: You can delete your account yourself inside the Application — see Deleting your account below.
- Notifications: You can turn push notifications off in your device settings.
Deleting Your Account
In the app: open Profile → Settings → Delete Account, confirm your identity, and confirm the deletion. This takes effect immediately.
Without the app: email darshanpatel15105@gmail.com from the email address on your account (or include the phone number you sign in with), with the subject "Delete my CourtLegacy account". The request will be completed within 30 days.
What is deleted: your login, your profile (name, email, phone number, photo, city, date of birth and preferences), your profile photo file, your notifications, the teams you own, live matches you were scoring, and your push notification token.
What is kept: completed match records you played in are also part of your opponents' and partners' histories, so they are not erased. After deletion they are no longer linked to an account, but may still show the player name that was entered for that match. Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
Data Retention Policy
Your data is kept while your account exists and is deleted as described above when you delete your account. To ask about your data, contact darshanpatel15105@gmail.com.
Children
The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (darshanpatel15105@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-10-03.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
